Wildlife survey volunteers are invited to attend a one-day training conducted by the experienced tracker/naturalists of the San Diego Tracking Team. This training includes basic track, sign, and habitat recognition, as well as details on the implementation of the survey protocol. During the months following the training, volunteers are expected to accompany a transect leader on at least one survey transect.

This training also serves as a prerequisite for the Intermediate Tracker/Naturalist class offered by the Los Peñasquitos Tracking Team.

Pre-registration is requested to reserve your spot. Please bring a sack lunch, water, and be prepared to spend much of the day outdoors. Also, please bring your calendar so that you can sign up for transects.
